Mission Statement
The Beauregard Parish Office of Homeland Security-Emergency
Preparedness coordinates homeland security-emergency preparedness
services for the parish by providing leadership, planning, education,
technical capabilities and resources to protect the lives and property of
the parish residents during natural and man made disasters including acts
of terrorism. In the event of a disaster or incident that is beyond the
capabilities of the parish office of homeland security-emergency
preparedness or the local responders the BPHLS-EP will request outside
assistance from other parishes, state and federal agencies as needed.
All proper disaster or emergency declarations will be applied for in
which assistance can be obatined for the parish residents and responders.
These declarations will be in accordance with local, state and federal
laws governing Homeland Security-Emergency Preparedness.
Beauregard Parish Office of Homeland Security-Emergency Preparedness will
provide and use all means available to provide the residents with the
needed materials, trianing and information ahead of time to better
prepare
the residents and improve community awareness.
