PROCEEDINGS OF THE AIRPORT DISTRICT, PARISH OF BEAUREGARD, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT SPECIAL MEETING JANUARY 14, 2005.

The Beauregard Parish Airport District Board met in Special Session on Friday, January 14, 2005 at 8:00 A.M. The following board members were present: Hollis Ray O’Neal, Chairman, Elton Pickering, Secretary/Treasurer; Eugene Loftin, Hugh Dubose, Wayne Hall, Karl St. Romain and R.M. Simmons. Also present were Tim Cooper, Forestry Consultant and John B. Jones, Airport Manager.

The Chairman, Mr. O’Neal, opened the Special Meeting to receive the recommendation of Mr. Cooper, Forestry Consultant, for the 2005 airport timber sale. He reminded the board that the bids had been taken under advisement at the Regular Board Meeting. He then recognized Mr. Tim Cooper. Mr. Cooper said that he was recommending acceptance by the board of the bid by Broadway in the amount of $170,000. Mr. Cooper said the bid was payable up front and the bidder would be allowed two years to harvest the timber.

After a brief discussion a motion was made by Mr. Simmons to accept Mr. Cooper’s recommendation. Mr. Loftin seconded the motion which was unanimous.

There being no further business a motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Pickering and seconded by Mr. St. Romain. The motion passed unanimously.
